Hi Experts,

We are trying to integrate sapui5 screen elements in sap work manager version 6.4 application for android. SAPUI5 Screens is not rendering in the android work manager application version 6.4, but screens are loading and working fine in WPF client.

how can we debug for the solution.

Thanks,

Mahitheja.

I would recommend starting with the sample Open UI projects and Agentry application that comes with the SDK. This will allow you to validate that you have built the Android client successfully for using the Open UI UI5 components with what should be a known working combination. Once you know the client can render the UI5 then start introducing your specific application changes.

Based on the screenshot the Android client is not finding the Open UI class referenced in the definitions. Since it is displaying the default field instead of the Open UI code. What version of the Android client framework are you using? I believe you can just launch from Eclipse in debug mode and the client will run on the device and break as indicated in your open ui code.

Android Studio support was added in SMP3 SDK SP15 and I would assume works similarly but I have not used it yet.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your comment.we are using SMP Agentry client Framework Android 70.14.0.

Yes,we launch the application from Eclipse and client will run on the device and break is indicated in Open UI code and we are not using android studio.

Please help! How can i debug the solution?

Thanks,

I would start with a breakpoint in the initialization of the OpenUI control to verify the client is finding the control. I am guessing the problem is the OpenUI class isn't being found hence the default control display.

The rendering process works the same between the Android, iOS and WPF clients from an Agentry perspective. Since you have it working in WPF, you know your Agentry definitions are setup correctly which points to the problem being with your build of the Android client including the UI5 Open UI control and libraries. Something isn't being included correctly or maybe there is a version issue with something. It is really hard for me to try and pinpoint what needs to be updated in your build.
