Hi Gurus,
Can anyone explain the difference between the concept of 'Production' and 'Manufacturing'?
Any help would be appreciated.

Tiger

MANUFATURING :
IT THE COMPANY BASED TERM FOR THE PROCESSING OR MAKING OF THE GOODS OR FINISHED MATERIALS.
ITS REFLECT THE NAME OF THE COMPANY
EX: if it the car manufacturing company. its reflected
from the product car
PRODUCTION : THE END PRODUCT AFTER THE PROCESS IS NOT SHOULD BE THE END PRODUCT.IT MAY ALSO BE ASSMLY PRODUCT, OR SEMI FINI MATERIAL
SIMPLY WE SAY " ITS THE TRANSFER MODE OF ONE STAGE OF THE MATERIAL TO THE NEXT STAGE.
EX : THE ENGINE CYLINDER PRODUCTION
BASICALLY , IN THE MANUFACTURING UNT THERE ARE ONE OR MORE PRODUCTION UNITS
SO, MFG>>>>>>>>> RELATED CO COMPANY
PRODUCTION>>> RELATED TO THE PLANT

Hi,
Production means any type of production which is carried out in company
such as manufacturing, processing etc.

Hi
Check out this
Manufacturing is the transformation of raw materials into finished goods for sale, or intermediate processes involving the production or finishing of semi-manufactures. It is a large branch of industry and of secondary production. Some industries, like semiconductor and steel manufactureres use the term fabrication.
Production
Formal activity that adds value to goods and services, including creation, transport, and warehousing until used. Production is an organized process with specific goals.
This is something new & different thread.
But I dont know whther forummembers encourage this type of thread.
IF useful reward points and close this thread.
