Replacement path var in calculated key figure

Hi all,

In my report, a user enters a posting period value into variable 0P_PER3, andit holds values from 001 to 012. Then I want to use these values in logical operations, like, to check if the entered period falls into Jan-Jun period.

I tried to use a replacement path variable in a formula for calculated key figure, where that variable is replaced Key of 0P_PER3. That worked for text label of the column, but returns me zeroes in the formula.. what am I doing wrong? WHat would be the workaround?
