How to change the look and feel in GP

Hi All,

I have a doubt, Iam not sure if this is possible please help

If i have 2 users (vendor and manager). i have set up the GP steps where the vendor enters a value and manager approves/rejects it. When the vendor completes the task he gets a tick mark on the left hand side of his window, the same thing happens with manager too

My question is can I have the graphic in vertical fashion and not with those tick marks? like the way below??
