Alternative items on bill of materials

Hi all,

is there a way to use two (or more) alternative items inside a bill of materials (sales type), so when an items is not available the system choose the other automatically ?

You could add 2 or more alternative items for an item inside BOM sales but I am not sure if

match factor could be used for your situation. When I replicate your situation, there are 2 items with match factor 50 and 100, but item whose match 50 has 200 pieces and other 0 pieces in warehouse. The SO qty is 10 meanwhile item's BOM is not available in whse, the system only choose match factor 50 and the other undisplayed in the alternative item selection criteria..

(I replicate this in SBO 2004A SP 00 PL41)...what version do you use ?
