Hi,

There is no specific transaction code for entering transaction data in four special periods 13 to 16. In Transaction code OB52 (open / close FI periods), you can keep period 13 (or 14, 15, 16) open.

In the normal FI postings example FB01 or F-02, you can enter the period as 13 and the transaction data will be posted in period. You can also execute reports by entering period 13 and you can check the transactions posted in period 13 or any other special periods.

Thanks

Murali.

Hi,

Special Periods can be found in the same tocde where u cud see the normal FY variant.

It is a common concept to FI and has no special link to special ledger.

Normally, each month in an year is associated as a posting period. So there will be 12 posting period. During the last posting period, there are certain chances that acccounting entries will be made after the close of the fiscal year, but pertaining to the previous year. To facilitate this, SAP has the concept of special period - u can have a max of 4 special periods. Pls. note that only posting of the last period can be done in the special periods.

U can find config of FY in IMG-FA-FAGlobal Settings - fiscal Year - Maintain FY variant

<i>* Pls. assign points, if useful</i>

Special period can be entered in any regular t-code. But these will post only to the last posting period eg. Jan - Dec Ficsal year, it will post to the last period namely 12, December. Just for the sake of keeping the last period open, primarily for adjustments, these special periods are open. You have to manually specify in the posting period field 13 or 14..or 16.
