EPM General error - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hi Everyone,

I am getting below error whenever a user tries to Refresh workbook. ' EPM General error - Object reference not set to an instance of an object' However if refresh worksheet works fine. This excel has many sheets and each tab has one report only.

To find root cause, I have tried below things

1.Refresh workbook works fine if other user login to same Excel book.

2.This is also able to refresh from other system also.

Sorry, but you have to provide detailed info about versions and SP's. Also you have to find yourself the sheet with an issue.

Thanks for Quick response and effort, Please find details below of EPM below.

Version 10.0 SP 17 .NET 4

Build 8711

Microsoft office 2007

Also, for this particular user I tried this id into other sheets also, so while refreshing workbook it always give error Howvever if I login using my Id into this system, Refresh workbook works absolutely fine. So I Thought there would be problem with this user Id, However I tried again with this id but other system then It Refresh works fine. Hence I analysed there can not be a problem with sheet or id, But there must be some problem with instance created for this id.

These reports are fetching data from BPC environment for a consolidation model.

Please let me know for any more information required from my side.

Thank you, It is working now by just reinstalling the EPM

Anyway, EPM upgrade is absolutely recommended. It's not possible to answer questions about very old versions...

I have a small doubt Since reports were created long back using EPM SP17, Would EPM upgrade affect the existing reports. Also they are using Office 2007 will it support EPM latest version?
