Material data blocked

Hi,

I would like to know what exactly does " Material data block" mean? i recieved this error message while executing VEndor consigment goods.

And then i get a message that ZKOP & MKOP are not updated. can any one explain this scenario to me..

Dear Chintan,

You can keep the material status for Sales/Purchase as blocked. Which means that material is blocked and cannot be used.

Goto Basic data 1 -> in field X-plant matl status -> Select one of the following value

01 Blocked for procment/whse

02 Blocked for task list/BOM

10 Blocked for MRP

Valid from - Here you enter valid date from which the material should be blocked.

So from this your material will be blocked for any PR/PO/any transactions related to Procurement
