Validate Customer Date (e.g telephone number to only be numberic)

Hi SAP Gurus

Does anyone have any idea how you go about validating Data e.g when creating a customer and you enter their telephone number that it only accepts numbers(05555) or if its an e-mail address it must be like this sap@world.com.
