I am trying to create a JDBC connection to PostgreSQL DB using IDT. Whenever I do a test connection I get the following error.

I have followed the below steps before creating the connection.

  1. Downloaded postgresql jar file (postgresql-42.1.3.jre6) and placed it in root folder where BO is installed.
  2. Modified the classpath in postgresql.sbo and greenplum.sbo files as below. <ClassPath>
    <Path>C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\jdbc\drivers\Postgresql\postgresql-42.1.3.jre6</Path>
  3. Restarted the system
  4. Opened IDT, created a local project and a local relational connection by selecting PostgreSQL8/9 ->JDBC and entered all DB details. When testing the connection I am receiving the above mentioned error message in screenshot.

Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue? I am able to ping the DB host from this system and was also able to connect to the DB successfully using DB visualizer tool.

Note : BO version used is BO 4.1 SP6

Can you rename the Postgresql folder under dataAccess\connectionServer\jdbc\drivers

to postgresql or postgresql8 and check the issue.
