After mny changes, duration reduces ..however ABAP read increased ? IS that

First of all THANKS for you guys.

I have changes my program ( did performance tuning for my SELECT stmt )

I kept break points before and after this SELECT stmt.

So in se30, it showed

ABAP read : 5%

DATA BASE read : more than 95%

and after my changes, system showed as :

ABAP read : 92%

DATA BASE read : 5%

System : 9%

In st05,

8,230,381 is the duration before changes

2,644 is the duration after changes.

Is there any thing can I do ...? if so , what I have to do ,

Please suggest me ? or Is above thing is okay ?
