Now when I want to create a second delivery SAP won't

Sorry for not being clear enough on this. The problem is with the second
delivery SAP doesn't let me change the quantity, it's greyed out so I can
only deliver 80pcs when business requires me to send less than that
every now and then.

Hi Sven,
If the Customer is allowed for partial delivery. ( Customer Master -> Sales Area Data ->shipping -> partial delivery per item), then we can do partial deliveries maximum of 9.
As you said u did delivery for 20 pcs out of 100, now there is 80 pcs remaining.
Go to change mode of the order, and select Sales Document -> Deliver, then it will take you to delivery screen, there you can see 80 pcs in delivery quanity.
You can do delivery for total quantity or you can change the quanityt as you wish.
Like this you can do partial delivery for remaing 80 pcs.
But you will be allowed to maximum of 9 deliveries like that.
Hope this gives some idea.
Pl let me know if you any more prob.
Thanks,
Praveen

Hi Sven,
Kindly check if you are following the below mentioned process steps:-
1.Go to VL01n, input the sales order number and enter.Ideally system should pick up the remaining 80 qty automaticaaly in the second delivery which you will be creating.
Also you can check the status of the order and item in VBUK and VBUP table.
Reward points if useful
