Paging File in windows for SAP

Dear Experts ,

I am new to SAP R/3 Basis .I am very much in need to set paging file size to

1GBram + 8GB. but i am unable to increase virtual memory beyond 4096 initial and 4096 max.

Please any one let me know the step by step procedures
