Serial number

Hi Friends

While creating production order i am generating the serial number(Automatically).To manufacture the header material manually i am issuing the component, while issuing the material it will ask the component serial number also.

But when go T CODE : CO26 for a production order in that component list are showing but not serial numbers.the column is displaying.

How to get the report for the serial number component of a header material

For this you need to create a Installed base using transaction <b>IB51</b>. ENter the header material along with serial number. Inside allocate the components with serial number in Matterial tab page.

After creation you can use <b>IB53</b> to display the compo serial numbers for a header serial number.

<b>IH20/ IH22</b> would give where used for comp serial numbers.

Hope this solves your problem.

Ok But through instaled base also the components serial number will not come automatically , means when i enter the header material serial number then components detail with serial number will not come automatically , we have to assign it manually.

My requirement is when i enter the header material with serial number then components detail will come automatically

How can you expect this ?

Some where you need to link the compo serial number with header serial number. How will system know other wise which is assembled where ?

There is no other way...

While doing the Goods issue MB1A against the production order their only i am selecting the serial number of a components, their only i am liking the with the production order.

So when i enter the production order number i has to show the components detail with serial number

The compoenet serial numbers are not "reserved" for an order unlike the header material which comes in the report RIOBJK00.

You can only view the list of available serial numbers for a component material.

For this use transaction IQ09. Here enter the component material along with other selection criteria and execute. You will get the list of serial numbers. Choose the System status from the change layout option to know the availability of the serial number.

You could use any of these serial numbers for issuing to the order.

Using T CODE : SA38 also not diplaying the component details with serial number

Hi Vijay,

What you have to do is, go to tcode <b>MB5B</b>, there you give movement type <b>261</b> and other your plant and company code then execute.Take your Required the list of Material documents.

now go to SA38 and execute the program "<b>RIOBJK00</b>",

give the list you captured in MB5B in material document data tab.

Then execute. you will get Component list with serial numbers...

i think it will solve your requirement....

Ok,Its showing the serial numbers of header material and its calling T CODE : IQ03.

But my problem is suppose my header material has serial number 100 and to manufacture this i have used some components like

A with qty 2 and serial number as 10, 20

So i want to track the for 100 serial number product manufacturing what are the components are used with serial number.

This is because to track the warranty period of the components

There is no separate T.code for your requirement,

But you can Run this report <b>"RIOBJK00"</b>, either using SA38 or SE38,

field choose the radio button for the option of " optional one"
