Hi All

I am handling a support project the current scenario of the client is they will receive a

Scheduling agreement from the customer and W..RT scheduling agreement the production process is done by creating production orders manually without running MRP part.

Now the clients requirement is once he receives a Scheduling agreement from customer

he will create a scheduling agreement during creation itself he wants the system to throw

delivery date considering the production orders , planned orders and capacity of the work center and the availability date i.e.. the completion date of production.

The statergy type used is 40.Can you guide me how to map the process. They want a complete planning process.

Regards

Shankar

This is possible with strategy 82 "assembly processing with production orders".

here you can by-pass the MRP...direct production order comes agianst the sales scheduling agreement after creation in backgorund. You cannot control the caapcity but based on avaialability check of components you can restrict the creation of sales agreements. If one or more materials are not available on the relevant requirements date then the system asks you to confirm this date in the sales document.

I dont think with strategy 40 you can by-pass MRP and you will get the results.

if any question then inform with rewarding suitable points.

Hi Shankar,

No special settings are requires in customizing except order type in OPPQ transaction. Please read about the basis settings.

Strategy Groups

The following strategy group is predefined for production orders:

Strategy group 82: assembly processing with production orders..maintain this in MRP3 view for the hedear part

Requirements Type and Requirements Class

requirements type KMFA: Maintain this in sales agreement documents in procurement tab.

Order Type

Order type PP04: Production order with assembly processing...this you should maintain for plant/order type combination in customizing in OPL8 (order type dependent parameters) OPU3 (scheduling parameters for order type) and OPK4 (for order type confirmation parameters)...All with order type and plant combinations.

If, for some reason, you want to use an order type that is different to the one predefined by SAP, you must make sure that the following scheduling parameters are set for the order type:

Key ‘Backward scheduling’’

Indicator ‘Adjust basic dates’’

If you use all the standard system settings, you do not need to make any additional settings in Customizing:

Bills of Material

For assembly processing with production orders, the finished product must have a valid bill of material.

The above settings are sufficient to carry out the assembly processings.

If any question then let me know. If helps rewards points and close this thread.

Hi Tajjudin

Hope statergy 82 is for planning with assembly level and moreover we are able to control the availability of materials only. This does not consider capacity of the machine.

Any suggestions in using capacity planning ?

Hi,

Shankar just do one thing, with the help of ABAP develop a report based on your work center available hour, cycle time of product & customer requirement qty. in this report you can analyze the available hour, required hour & work completion date.
