Dear All,
I am having one scenario which I want to transport from Development Server to PRD server. Can anybody guide me on what is best menthod/practise of transporting the things. Also, I have ceated one additional mapping types in Exchange Profile in XI-DEV server, now I want to transport that also to PRD server. Kindly guide me on that also on how to transport that.

Hi Nishu,
If you are using CCMS you can go ahead with that. OR you can also do with file export and import.
In the IR you will find the Menu called Export Design Objects. Using this you can export a Software component version and this will get stored as .tpz file in the repository_server/export folder in the XI server. You need to copy this and paste in the prod xi server repository_server/import folder. Now you can do the Import Design Objects.
Simillarly for ID as well

If your landscape has been installed with CMS , then u can go by transporting CMS. Else do the file export from DEV and import into PROD. By the way u have DEV &CONS as the same box is it?

Transporting objects in XI is different from transporting ABAP objects. As prateek mentioned you can transport XI objects using File system or CMS. By default you can use File system. If you want to use CMS you can transport it.
