ECR/ECO queries

Hi Gurus,

1) Likewise the staus network for the DIR, where is the status for the BOM and a Material Master set when included as an object in an ECR/ECO? If not, how can I trigger the workflow when I am done with completing the changes for the above objects?

2) How can I make the change number mandatory for the Material Master and BOM?

3) In a digital signature for ECR/ECO what is the setting for making one to one relation of the user-id with the authorization group. ie In a serial signature startegy if 5 people needs to sign one after the another as been defined, how can it be done. Also I should get an error if someone tries to jump the line.

4) I have a doc type -xyz and I have classified different product types (prod-a, prod-b, prod-c) as my classification (under additional data header). Now selecting prod-a , can I have single or many signature network attached to it? Any customization?

All useful answers would be rewarded!!

Thanks,

Paddy.

Hi Paddy,

1 A) There is no Status Network for BOM & Material Master similar to DIR, but you have a Status of BOM {i.e. ACTIVE(1) and INACTIVE(2)} So in Configuration you always set this Default Status of BOM as INACTIVE and once you complete your ECR process give authorization to some role or position to change this Status from INACTIVE to ACTIVE

You can even Validate the Status Field in the BOM

2 A) In MM01/MM02 and in CS01/CS02 there is Change Number Field you need to put a Field exit on this to make this fields mandatory.

Thanks Rehman...Points Awarded!!

What about the status in the Material Master? Can I use the cross plant status in the Basic-2 tab in material master? I am requring these status for the Work Flow to plug into these status for routing the approvals.

Any comments on my other questions?

Thanks,

Paddy.
