How to run multiple queries in a workbook

Former Member

Hi,

I have 3 queries in a workbook with the same variables. How can I refresh all the 3 queries when I change the variable value. It allows me to refresh only one query at a time but I need to refresh all the 3 queries at once whenever variable value changes.

Thanks,

Kal

Hi,

Open the workbook goto>query properties>interaction-->check refresh query when opening workbook and click on "OK for all queries" push button in the same pop up.

Now after excecuting the workbook select any non result area and click on refresh it will ask for "No query is selected Do you want to refresh all queries in the workbook" and click yes.

This will solve your problem.

hi..

In 7.0, All variables in the workbook are shown in the variable screen, you can't get variable screen for each query.

In 3.5 we were able to get like that.

from SP-13

Refresh individual queries within a workbook (Single DataProviderRefresh)

hope it will help...

all the best...

Hi,

Incase of Web Template system consolidates selection parameters / variables of all query in to single input web page .

I think it is not possible that system ( ie. same variable across 3 queries) will prompt for dialog only one time instead of 3 times.

Hope that helps.
