Webdynpro User Interface - Picture appearance error

Dear MDM Experts,

We have some pictures in the catalog. They appear correct in the Data Manager, but not on the Webdynpro User Interface. The pictures aren't appear irrespectively these pictures are stored in repository or link to original files only.

Maybe the problem is, that the pictures and the Webdynpro are not running on the same server, and the Webdynpro UI try to reach the picture file through a relative link, and this link is generated not in the right form?

Hi Ádám,

I suppose you are using the WD search URL directly.

Does your starting URL looks like this -:

http://[server]:[port]/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_mdmsrmcat~uisearch/MDM_SRM_UI_App?.............................................................

if yes, the please change the this URL as follow, to see the images correclty -:

http://[server]:[port]/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM?........................................

i.e Replace "webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_mdmsrmcat~uisearch/MDM_SRM_UI_App" with "SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM" in the URL.

Hi Adam

Would you please explain how you overcame the problem, I am with a similar problem and this happened after Hotfix patch implementation (Note: 1070229 ).

I can also view my images in Data Manager but they are not available in the Search UI.

we managed to solve this picture appearance problem with using an other link to the UI Interface, as Paritosh wrote. So our link is:

http://sapcatdq.kozpont.otp:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_mdmsrmcat~uisearch/MDM_SRM_UI_App?sap-locale=&HOOK_URL=&mask=&username=***&password=**&catalog=**&server=**&datalanguage=&FUNCTION=&returnTarget=&SEARCHSTRING=&ServletUrl=***

We have some other picture relevant issues, but I hope we can solve these, too.

Are you using the standard SRM-MDM UI?

The generated link for one of my items looks like

http://<server>:<port>/SRM-MDM/objectServer//Images?id=3&variant=Thumbnail&cachePath=/tmp/largeObjec...
