There is no type of name spaces. But you can give URL or URN information only. Any object can be found unique with combination SWC + Name Space + Object.

Vijay

Hi,

>>what r the types of name spaces..

seems you are refering to the name space which we create under SWCV, if so, thy are:

URI :- Example: http://sap.com/xi/demo

URN:- Example: urn:sap-com:xi:demo

URI (Uniform Resource Indicator, similar to a URL but does not necessarily point to a web resource)

URN (Uniform Resource Name, like a URI but without a protocol assignment)

hi vijaya

isn't that

http://(URI) ensures that the name of the namespace is unique

urn: gives that the Namespaces are not connected with a web page in the internet.

correct me if i am wrong...i know its very late to reply here..but d last statement by vijaya created a confusion in my mind when i was surfing th. the forums.

An XML namespace is a collection of names, identified by a URI reference [RFC2396], which are used in XML documents as element types and attribute names. XML namespaces differ from the "namespaces" conventionally used in computing disciplines in that the XML version has internal structure and is not, mathematically speaking, a set.

There are no specific types.
