Hi all,
I designed a custom workflow which has all client independent tasks.. It is working perfectly in our Development server but not in Quality server..
to be more specific my background task in the workflow is set to "ready" status and not moving forward.. Did i miss some configuration part..
thanks in advance
Hi Kan,
Have you checked in SWU3 that the workflow internal RFC destination is correctly set-up?
SWU2 (transactional RFC log) might also give you some info about the issue.
Check also ST22 for short dumps from WF-BATCH.
Cheers,
Patrick

Is it possible that the background task generates an error ? (problem with the method,..)
Otherwise, I don 't see a reason why the flow stops at a step with a background task...

Hi,
How can a background task stay in "Ready" status?
It can happen if your task is maintained as a dialog task! Check whether the checkbox "Object method with dialog" is unchecked in your task definition. Also try to find out the responsible agent of that workitem from log which might give you some clue.
I am also not sure what happens when we change WF-BATCH to a dialog user. In that case will the background workitems get executed automatically?
Thanks,
