We are working on securing our BODS environment and wound up adversely impacting our own (security team) access. While troubleshooting the issue, we logged in as the Administrator user and noticed that it appears to work differently than in QA. We believe this is due to the account being deleted and re-created previously. Its my understanding that the Administrator account has inherently more access than those assigned to the administrator group. Is my understand correct? Does anyone know if there is a way to restore the original Administrator user?
The issue we are having is that we are not able to restore Administrator user group access to the Data Services Profiler user group because we restricted the access to View only for Administrators. We are not able to override even with the administrator account.
Any assistance is appreciated.
