Server-side integration no use of OWA

Hi,

Some of our end users only use an iPad. What are the functionalities when not using OWA (Outlook Web Access)?

On the Q&A of the server-side webinar hosted on the 30th of May I read that contacts, tasks and calendar events can be synced directly from C4C in the standard iOS and Android apps and it's also possible to change contacts, tasks and calendar events in the standard iOS and Android apps. But is it also possible to create a contact, task and calendar event in a standard iOS and/or Android app and synchronize to C4C? Or do you need in this case to download a OWA app?

What is meant with standard iOS apps, for example the standard calendar & mail app on any mac device?

Many thanks for your advise.

Regards,

Anne

The OWA app is required for the new add-in to work. All sync features work without the OWA app as well.

Yes, create is possible as well

Contacts: Yes (Contacts in a particular folder are synced, so create them in the folder)
Tasks: Yes (Tasks in a particular folder are synced, so create them in the folder)
Calendar Events: No (a category needs to be assigned to sync calendar events, the iOS app does not support categorries)

Hi Ankan,

Thank you for your answers.

How can we sync an email on the standard email application of iOS to C4C?

Do we have to move the email to a specific folder?

Many thanks for your advise.

Extra question, how to sync a contact or email to an opportunity or activity via my iOS device?

Many thanks.

Yes - simply move it to the "SAP Hybris E-mails" folder

You would need to use our add-in (with the OWA) app for this functionality.
