I apologize, I suspect this has been asked numerous times, but I have been searching all over and not found an answer.
Our user_main (we havev IQ_SYSTEM_MAIN, IQ_SYSTEM_TEMP, and use_main). Shows as 95% full. The developers have deleted the majority of the records out of these tables and it still is 95% full.
I know IQ is not like most databases with space reclamation, and I understand the DB can show as full in spite of removing records.
What I am inquiring about is the steps to get the space back. Do I have to export, drop and recreate tablespaces, etc.?
If someone could give a high level overview of the steps necessary, I would really appreciate it (I have opened a ticket just in case).
Thanks!
