We are using very simple sample procedures, with no specific definitions of physical samples. I can see no place in QM Config or Master Data where Partial Samples are activated in this situation. However, when trying to create some SQVI queries, including use of the QASR table, I am finding many duplicate records with identical data, but the only difference being different Partial Sample nos (field QASR-PROBENR). This is causing unnecessary extra rows of duplicate data in the Query output. I am trying to stop this from occurring, but cannot find where Partial Samples are turned on/off.
There appears to be a correlation between the number of Partial samples and the number of receipts (material documents) recorded against the Purchase Order or STO. Thus, I am suspecting that there is a config or master data element somewhere that defines if partial samples should be triggered per GR against the Purchase Order.
Can you please point me in the right direction on where to find this control, assuming it exists?
