Hi Vamsi,

>>>>>Q2) What is Communication Channel Template ???

This is useful in designing Integration Scenario. This option helps you to design the Communication Channels template.

For example:

Suppose you are developing a XI content for say some Scenario which involves FCC (File Content Conversion). Now when you ship the content you ship only design objects. You can generate a template with all the conversion parameters in design environment only.

Hence when it is imported in the site, in configuration you can directly import the Channel template which you have already created in Design Time ( IR).

you can defined a communication channel template in IR. This is ostly used when u r doin a integration scenario and hence once you import your intg. scenario into ID, with the base of the data provided in your comm. channel template, a CC is automatically made in ID.

What is the Use Creation of Integration Scenario in IR ??

What is the Use of Importing the Integration Scenario in to the ID???

Can u Please Explain me the Process which u Mentioned in the Above

Hi Vamsi,

As i earlier said, when you shipping XI Content you can ship IR Objects.

>>What is the Use Creation of Integration Scenario in IR ??

It will very useful for the person who is configuring XI Content which you have developed. When you design the Integration Scenario it can be easily configured in ID.

procedure in ID In the Integration Directory, start the Integration Scenario Configurator via Tools ->Transfer Integration Scenario from the Integration Repository.

What is the Use of Importing the Integration Scenario in to the ID???

A simple answer, you can save development Time.

By importing most of the Configuration is Automatically generated. There are only few parameters you might require to fill in.You just need to activate it.

Hope it was helpful

Hi Ramesh,

===>>>With the Help of the Configuration Wizard in ID ( Tools-----Configuration Wizard ) also We Can Save the Developement Time And it is very Easy to Configure . With this We have to fill a few parameters in ID While Configuring any Scenario.

Then What is the Exactly Use of Creation of Integration Scenario ???

Please Correct me if i am wrong

Hi vamsi,

Let me make it clear. When you created Integration Scenario in IR then you can easily import in ID.

When you usually develop integration scenario you will start from scratch like creating business system, communication channel, recevier agreement, interface determination and so on...

But when you use wizard you just need to specify which scenario and what are the business system(create if necess), communication channel and so on...

You dont have to create all the steps while importing integration scenario. You might just need to provide information like which channel you might use but all the receiver agreement, interface determination is generated automatically.

Hi,

When you usually develop integration scenario you will start from scratch like creating business system, communication channel, recevier agreement, interface determination and so on...

In ID We Will create Configuration Scenario Not Integration Scenario ....Am i Right ???

Here u r also saying the same thing that no need to create all the things in ID while configuring a Scenario If We Use the Integration Scenario

Here I am Saying We can have all those If we Use Configuration Wizard

Please let me Know

Hi vamsi,

In SLD - we will Create TS & BS

IR-- Designing your Integration scenario , Creation of data types, Message Types, message Interface..and we will do the mapping

ID -- yes u r right we will do the Configuration for the particular Integartion scenario

here the actual configuration takes place, by assigning your BS and configuring your communication channels...

Hi Vamsi,

Q1) What is Adapter Metadata in Adapter Objects in IR ??

>>>Adapter metadata are intended only for parties developing new adapters.

>>>You can load these adapter metadata as an XML file so that the link from

interface that binds the repository and directory, allows you to call new

adapter in the configuration.

>>>SAP itself provides adapter metadata for all the existing adapters.

>>>You can find the adapter metadata shipped by SAP in software component

SAP BASIS, software component version SAP BASIS 6.40, in namespace

http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.

Q2) What is Communication Channel Template ???

>>>You can use the communication channel template as a template to define

a communication channel at configuration time.

>>>If you want to create multiple communication channels with some identical

configuration data, you should use a communication channel template.

Hi Vamsi,

excuse me for my delayed reply.

We can use Integration Scenario from Integration Repository as a template for generating configuration Objects. It takes you through the configuration process, step-by-step. The objects required for the configuration are created and existing objects are checked to ensure that they can be used before including them in a scenario. The relevant objects are predominantly created automatically. The whole process is logged so that you have a good overview and can analyze and understand the configuration.

So Integration Scenario helps you to generate Configuration objects in ID. The configuration wizard that is already there is different might be both the intensions are same.

>>Here I am Saying We can have all those If we Use Configuration Wizard

yes u are exactly correct

But by importing Integration Scenario from IR you will get Integration Scenario Configurator which will embed all the templates and actions included in IR will be generated.

Hope this time you are clarified.

>>What is Adapter Metadata in Adapter Objects in IR ??

Adapter Metadata is the foundation configuration for the Adapters used in XI for message transfer

>>What is Communication Channel Template ???

Communication Channel Template is used for the creation / modification of Communication Channels. These can then be associated to new / modified Adapter types, direction, transport / message protocol.
