Serial Numbers from production order to outbound delivery

Hello All,

We have MTO scenario. Serial number is created only at production order level. So when i create delivery i can assign serial numbers manually but what i need is automatic assignment. For Delivery and production order the common link is sales order. So i searched some user exits through which we can cope serial number to delivery but i am not sure if it is correct.

Is there any other solution available. I checked but didn't find anything specific.

Any help on this topic is appreciated.

Dear Jelena,

I found enhancement IQSM0001 within which we can activate user exit to copy serial number but i am not sure if this is correct approach.
