Good day to you all,

Am I right in thinking that I can create an ECM record and with the use of the revision numbers, maintaine the same ECM number for the Life of the Material?

Regards.

Dear Mr.Guy,

As I have mentioned in my earlier threads,

As per your ECM settings, your change number number will be valid.

I mean it can be used to modify or do some change or revise your material using CC11.

For Eg,Create a Change number today and try to use the same change number after 1 week.

The system surely wont accept this.

As per the settings is OS54. and if ther's a tick mark in date check, then the system doesnt allows to use the same change number.

Better remove the tick mark ,then system allows you to use to same change number.

Hi,

If we remove the check box on date in OS54 the system is not allowing to use the same change number for any changes made to the material.

Please clarify me that I need to use to same change number through out the life of material, only if i change any details to material master new revision number should be changed, but not the change number, I mean i don't want to create a new change number again in CC01 and assign a new revision number to that.

So how to do that please help me on that.

Dear friend

Even remove the tick mark in os54 also cant use the same change number and whenever u need to modify or want to change then u must do with the new change number. this is a logic and standard sap cant do like u want

but only one way is there u can use the same number for long without closing the ecm

i hope it will useful to u

thanks
