Steve,

This folder contains the install for the DI API runtime components. Typically when you install a PL for Business One, you need to manually install the updated DI API unless the PL install instructions say otherwise.

Dear Edward,

Tks for your answer. Does it means that all clients must be installed DI API if I install a certain PL for business one in database ? I am confusing because I did not install a certain PL but the folder is available. I've seen that the folder is usually inside the folder of PL upgrade but not in the folder I mentioned.

Hi Steve,

For SBO add-on development we use UI API and DI API to work with SBO UI and company database. These are COM technologies that we refer in our Add-On Application.

In general, if we want to use any COM components it must be registered to Windows. By installing DI API, these DI DLLs will be registered to windows operating system. Then only you can albe to make use of these DLLs. So if you want to run our add-on on every client, DI API must be installed on every client.

Steve,

For each update or PL that you install for 2005A, you will also need to install the PL DI API.
