Auth Lvl Use in MOA Approver Table (Not MOA Amount)

Hello Gurus!

I am seeking some help understanding the meaning and use of "Auth Lvl" in the MOA table. My organization uses it when they need to set up multiple MOA's in the same group for one user. Typically when a user is out for an extended time. But there must be a better use for this.

Can anyone explain what all this does?
