I need to identify the materials with spaces at the end which were uploaded through zmm_mm01

We are having problems with our warehouse because they could not extend the materials. Later on, our support identified that the material numbers have spaces after. And possibly there might be other material numbers with spaces too. What I want to know, is how I can identify these materials with spaces, so I can remove them.

if you usually have numeric numbers, then a space at the end makes it actually alphanumeric.

a numeric number would be stored in table MARA with leading zeros, while an alphanumeric entry would be stored left aligned without leading zeros.

So it should be pretty easy to find then using SE16N with the setting that has the conversion exit switched off

I do not know MARA and SE16N. What I want to do is to get rid of the spaces on those material numbers. What I found out though, when I exported MM60 to excel, and searched the material number column for the spaces, there were none, except the material numbers with spaces intentionally.

Then I searched for the file I uploaded it up. Copied the space, and searched the column, then I found them. I removed the stocks(MIGO), then transferred to the part/material number without the spaces. Issue resolved. But thanks.

It seems you are doing a lot things with direct table updates.

It is unimaginable that one user is not able to extend a material with MM01 with a warehouse view because of this subsequent space and another user is able to perform MIGO to have added and now removed stocks. This does not sound in any way consistent.

User transactions like MM60, MM01 and MIGO always use conversion exits to display data in a readable way to the user, because of that I made the suggestion with SE16N and table MARA.

Quite strange that you have not heard about this transaction and table but do direct table updates to get rid of trailing spaces.
