SCM 230 Course Reviews

Hello All,

This is regarding APO SNP course SCM 230 offered by SAP. I was wondering if anyone has attended this course offered by SAP.

I am a DP consultant and looking for gaining deeper understanding of SNP. So does anyone know if this course is helpful for functional consultants or is it designed for only business users.

If you have attended, then what is your feedback on this course?

Also, would you advice any other course on SNP for functional consultants.

Kindly advice.

Regards,

Sanju

I think that the course SCM230 is more functional than design Consultant… If you want, I have the manual in pdf file, my e-mail is angel.glezt@gmail.com, and you can have a better idea of the course.

Hello Sanju -

the course is good to go with, but it also depends on the instructor and at the same time on you. Before you go for the course do some basic reading on PP and a little bit on SNP side as it will help in clearing initial basic doubts that you might have in the start, so that you can focus more on the complex things.

Thats what i did before going for SNP training.

Hi Sanju,

SCM 230 is very useful course. It is designed more for functional consultants thn business users. But the way the course is being taught is something I cannot agree with. I have taken the course but they teach you all in 5 days. I agree that the trainer is top notch. But the problem is you grabbing the most for the amount you are paying. In a class of 10, I contacted all of them and only 3 out of 10 really made use of it. The others were good /comfortable during the course but they eventually forgot everything. It needs a lot of practice. Unfortunately there are not many other places that teach you well.

This is my suggestion:

Read through the manual before you go to the course. Have at least draft understanding before you get there to grab most of it. You need to understand Material Master and PP basic concepts concepts including planning strategies, stock keeping strategies. Without this understanding, you would have to search and understand the terms and then get to SNP's functionality. By that time, you will run out of time.

Hope this helps.
