E-Recruiting-Acitvity types

Hi

I have created a process template for candidate selection. The template was assigned to the candidate through requisition. So far ok.

The activity types available in the template do I need to assign to the candidate for each of process (like ‘Application entry, Pre-selection, Selection, offer phase & Rejection). Will it not get defaulted to the candidate so that I can delete the unnecessary types?
