where we can maintain tax deducted by previous employer in SAP HCM

Hi,

My client want me to maintain tax deducted by previous employer for every employee. How to maintain this data?

Its urgent please reply.

Use IT0580-Previous Employment tax details

Thanks for the response. but m not able to see so much options in infotype 580.

we can see only following options

-Leave Encashment Exemption Amount
-Gratuity Exemption
-VRS Exemption
-Number of LTA Exempt

Is there any way to activate those options.

Please guide.

Hi Sujeet,

For a previous Employer, you can enter the following Previous Employer Details in Infotype 0580:

Salary as per provisions u/s 17(1)
Value of perquisites u/s 17(2)
Profits in lieu of salary u/s 17(3)
Exemptions u/s 10
Prof. Tax Deducted
Prov. Fund Deducted
Income Tax Ded. Incl. Cess and Surcharge
Surcharge Deducted
Education Cess Deducted
Medical Exemption
Leave Encashment Exemption Amount
Gratuity Exemption
VRS Exemption
Number of LTA Exempt

Employer NPS Contribution
Employee NPS Contribution
Employer NPS Basis
Employee NPS Basis

There is also a checkbox in case you wish to maintain whether or not LTA was carried forward.

Hi Sujeet,

Are you trying to create IT0580 for an employee hired on 1st of April? If you have hired an employee on 1st of April on the following fields will be available in IT0580:

Leave Encashment Exemption Amount
Gratuity Exemption
VRS Exemption
Number of LTA Exempt

An employee hired on 1st of April will only have these fields available. The rest are only available for someone hired after 1st of April. This is logically consistent, because if you're hiring someone on the first day of the financial year, he can't have Salary or tax deduction on it from a Previous Employer.

Hi Aman,

I have already checked the joining dates but even employees joined middle of the year or apart from 1st April we are not able to see all the options you have mentioned earlier. We can see only 4 options for all employees. Please suggest something more so that i can maintain all details.
