About X plant

The xplant status customizations are no longer working. Creating a MM from scratch forces me to enter the xplant status. When the new MM is saved I get an information message stating "OK: Save OR Continue". Acknowlodging this message, an error is produced stating that I'm not authorized to change the XPlant status of the material. so what should i do?
