How to publish news without going to the News folder in the KM Content ?

Today, if I want to publish a message in the News section I go to the KM content and create new XML News form in the /documents/news folder.

It is working OK but since I am transferring this news management to a non-technical person I am looking for a friendlier way to do this. For example, I couldn't find a proper iView that I can build on top of the News XML form to allow this person to edit the news without the need to navigate inside the KM content itself.

Any ideas...?

    Hi Roy.

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly.

But there already is an News Authoring iView delivered with the standard content in the Content Management Role.

Content Management -> Explorer -> News.

If you assign this iView (or build you own one) to the news author he doesn't even see in which folder he works.

This is all done by using a KM navigation iView and a special Layout Set.

I suggest reading a bit around this:

p.s.: in SAP Education classes EP300 and TEP30 we explain these things in some detail...
