SAP user friendly solution for printouts creation

Dear All

our customer is currently using tens of documents printouts generated in SAP (ECC and CRM) through smartforms.

Sometimes it is quite complex to handle these printouts through smartforms and the customer is asking for a more flexible and user friendly tool, in order to have the possibility to create basic document layouts on his own (similarly to what he would do in Word, with the possibility to setup basic dynamic fields, etc.)

Could you please advise about which solutions might be available in/integrated with SAP? (regarding email layouts, we might use CRM mail forms in order to let the user design basic layouts, but I do not know if there are standard solutions already available for letting the user design or modify other kind of documents, e.g. pdf letters with predefined texts, etc.)
