Mulitple Screen Variants in Variant Transaction

I am tring to hide few tabs in transaction VA21.

I created few screen variants and assigned them to a variant transaction. But on executing the Variant Transaction, i am not seeing the changes made in the sub-screen Screen variants. Am i missing something?

these variant transactions are client dependent , so check on which client u activated thiss changes ?

2.check SHD0 to see whether it is active or not ?

peram,

On activating the variant transaction, i get the error page "Error in Screen Variant," and that Fcode is missing. Where am i supposed to define the Fcode?
