Hi Prashanth,

In Tx: FS00,

Menu Bar --->Settings -

> Hierarchy Display

Then select the radio button for "Display accounts in navigation tree" and then press enter.

Then system will display a message as "Message: The new settings will take effect transaction is restarted". Then come out of the transaction and again enter Tx FS00. Now you will be able to see your GL Account group.

Hi,

On which version of SAP you are working? If all global settings for the Company Code are correct, check whether there are any OSS notes for this issue.

Thanks

Murali.

How do i check OSS notes ?

check table T077S to see if they have updated.

If you have created them correctly they will be there in that table via t code SE16.

Please award points if useful.

Yes Mark

I can see my account groups in appropriate chart of accounts in table T077S

Then why am i not able to view those account groups normally

Prashanth

Can you see any at all?

Have you defined all of the names in terms or text, short name and so on?

What if any values can you choose from?

If you can see any, what are the differences between then in T077s and the ones you cant find.

Lastly check authorizations

I can see those account groups in table T077S which i am not able to view with FS00.

How to check authorizations if there are any

/osu53

This will tell you if you if you are allowed to view them.

Have you log off and the on again, you may still be in the t code somewhere.

Also check SM12, for any updates that are missing.

Can you confirm if there are any account groups you can see?

OB53 - Define Retained Earnings Account

Most companies use one retained earnings account. For this reason, X can be used as the key.

In the chart of accounts you enter X in the P+L statement account type field, and for account determination you enter the retained earnings account under the key X.

yes i did the same

tried to assign X to a g/l account

but the system says the g/l account is not there in chart of accounts

now i need to create that g/l account in a account group but i am not able to view my account groups though they are updated in the table t077s

Hi,

In retained Earnings,

Give X in the P&L account.

DO NOT give anything in the GL account

Press Enter on any warnings...but it will allow u to save.

after saving, u can go to FS00 to create GL accounts.

HI,

First you should maintain Retained earnings account in T.code:OB53.

Then only, you can view the list of your account groups in T.code:fs00

all the best
