Migration of KM content included versions, subscriptions, workflow, discussions, ...

Hello,

I need to migrate KM content from NW Portal 7.0 to 7.4. I know how to migrate documents included metadata, custom properties and ACL (for example via ICE) but I don't know wheather migration of other functionalities (subscriptions, ranking, approval workflow, versions, workflow history, discussions) is possible? If yes, how?

Hi Zbynek,

It's not possible to transport these functionalities through ICE but if using the 'KM Transport' functionality, it is indeed possible to transport some of these but not all of them.

The scope of the content which can be transported through ICE can be found here.

The KM Transport would probably be more suitable to your needs and the scope of this can be found here. As you can see, the properties relating to several KM functionalities including subscriptions and approval workflow are transportable. It's not possible however to transport ratings or discussions and in cases where versioning is enabled, only the most recent/current version is transportable.
