we are attempting the following :

Internet ----> IIS7 --->DMZ---> BOBJ B.4.2 ---> DMZ---IIS7----Internet(browser)

We are confused on the steps where to implement https . Has anyone done this? , The BOBJ admin guide , gives instruction to setup https, we have that working internally with certificates. We are not sure if IIS7.0 can communicate with Tomcat

Why IIS ?? Usually in DMZ scenarios, when hardware proxy/load balancer in DMZ is not available , Apache Web server is used.

HTTPS can be setup on both IIS and on Tomcat (I'm assuming you're using tomcat that comes with BOE).

On how to connect IIS and Tomcat - follow documentation here :

https://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/webserver_howto/iis.html

and Microsoft documentation.
