We have Scenario of variant configuration as:
Material A is KMAT have a variety of Item in its level . So we do configuration and set dependency and select level 1 component and level 1 component also have some variety , so same we do and select component . but our pain is -Client want when we select level 2 characteristics for Material B then system should select level 2 material from material C.
Logically it is correct and we also assign same dependency to both materials ,still in Sales order creation , system not explodes the BOM for expected component
