Dear Gurus;

I am working on a scenario where, the PRT (equipment) used in production has to under go Usage Decision, after EVERY 2000 produced units. If usage decision is Yes; system should automatically create maintenance (refurbishment) order for this PRT.

How do I do it? Pls. guide.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

If u have a PP module (not PIPP) integration following are the steps:

1. PRT to be created with meas. point as counter

2.The quantity value in PRT to be updated based on the formula which integrates the production quantity and usage value.

3.Assign your counter based maint plan and meas point in the PRT data ( default value for maint.)

4.create the characteristics and assign the same in Meas. point. for ex: Unit_cycle

5.maintain counter over reading and annual estimate in Meas. point.

6.Assign the task list to the counter based maint. plan.

7.Your PP master routing should have the same work center as in PRT

8.when u do production confirmation an automatic meas. doc is created based on the updation in the PRT counter and when it reaches above 2000 units, and dead line monitoring is activated then automatic notification or order will be generated.

If u have PIPP ( process industries production planning ) automatic updation of meas. doc will not happen ( as per standard SAP) and u need to manually update the meas. doc to reach the counter.

Revert back for any doubts and reward if u get successed.

thanks and regards,

Hello Loga;

I have tried the exact way that you have described.

I am unable to understand one thing: What "Usage value formula" I should use? What should be the formula for this?

I have two standard formula's available with standard SAP. I have tried both of those, still not able to update the measuring document from production order.

Will you pls. guide me?

Give me your mail ID, so that I can send you the screen shots.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Loga;

I have solved the problem, it has to do with the formula: SAPF01. I have changed it, working fine now.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

I have tried the same. I want to know the parameters used for that formula. Also let me know the formula completely. I could create the Measurement document. But counter reading has not updated. I think the parameters for that formula might be wrong.

My formula is SAP_11 * SAP_15.

SAP_11 field name is SPLIM (Operation Splits)

SAP_15 field name is MGVGW (PRT qty).

Is that formula correct or else whats the wrong in this. Please help me.

Regards,

Maheswaran.

Hi,

I would follow the next scenario:

- Create a counter based preventive maintenance plan for the equipment. The maintenace plan must generate notifications every 2000 cycles/units.

- If the notification for the equipment is created, it has to be investigated. Investigation leads to the creation of a maintenance order (based on the notification) or the closure of the notification
