Hello Forum,
is it possible to integrate a process "execute transaction" into a process chain?
Maybe there is a standard process that can be used? If no, what type of process should be defined?
Regards
Radoslaw
Hi,
to my knowledge there isn't such a process however behind a transaction there is usually a report or a function module so I could be easy to implement an ABAP proces doing the same
if you let us know what you want to achieve we perhaps could suport your better

Thank You for Your answer.
What I would like to run automatically is the transaction "ZD_REPDOKU", which generates a .xls file with current BEx reports definitions. I would like to generate the file from the system and save it locally on the predefined path (like You do it when executing this transaction manually).
I would appreciate any tips as to this.

OK, this is a custom transaction....
Ask the guy who developped it or simply call transaction SE93 in order to see what program is behind...
Then use this program in an ABAP process within your process chain.
By mention "local" I foresee some issue(s): I understand that you want to store this spreadsheet on a local computer (on the client side), right? This means that the user will have to fire the chain in dialog (not sure even if this will work but it should). Indeed you won't be able to schedule this chain because the system will not know where to store the file since no client is connected in dialog....
However you could store the file on any BW application server or network share so that the user can pick it up...
hope this helps...
Olivier.
