JCA Adapter status in RWB is n/a, How to activate it?

Dear All,

I am using sample JCA adapter provided by SAP. I have configured my scenario using JCA adapter and activated it. But when I go to RWB the adapter is not active.

In the communication channel monitoring, status column shows "n/a".

also start and stop button are in inactive mode.

Do we need to register this adapter somewhere??

Can any body tell me how to activate sample adapter?
