MPN and Manufturer number at Basic data tab in MDG-M

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to bring External Manufacturer(LFA1- EMNFR) in basic data tab. We have done this in backend(MM) by adding subscreen, as shown in below figure and now needs to be brought in Governance - MDG and nwbc.

Now the problem is , while doing SMT mapping, I can not find *LFA1* structure in target structure, which is obvious , as LFA1 is not related to MM. So, how to do SMT mapping and proceed on this?

Has any body done MPN and manufacturer settings in MDG- M?

Is there any BF available by which this field()Ext. Maufact No) and the MPN will come in MDG and calculation will be done automatically?

Hello Rajeev ,

The MARA- MFRNR of the ECC t-code MM03 is already mapped to attribute MFRNR of the entity MARAPURCH.

Please look at Mapping between structures MDG_BS_MAT_S_MARA and /MDGMM/_S_MM_PP_MARAPURCH .

But coming to your requirement, I am not sure I understand. You want to use SMT mapping to map the Staging to the Active area & vice versa, correct?

Now in your case when you add a field in the Basic View of Material Master (MM03), which table does that value of that field get stored in? Obviously it is NOT the table LFA1. You are storing a field relevant to the Material Master so which table has it, is it MARA? Is it it some Z table? You would thus do SMT mapping of this ECC reuse field o(f the whichever table you have added it to)to your staging attribute. hope this makes sense.
