HU / SSCC: leading zeros are missing

Hi experts,

I've got a question regarding SSCC numbering for outbound deliveries.

I receive a DELVRY02 idoc with an SSCC number from an external logistics provider with leading Zeros ("00") in front of the 18-digit SSCC number.

While the idoc is processed, the HU (EXIDV) in SAP is created without the leading zeros. That causes problems as the SSCC is not 20 digits long. Numbering object is LE_SSCC, GLN base number is the number prefix from the logistics provider.

Is there a way to create the HU with the zeros?

Leading zeroes for VEKP-EXIDV are considered not relevant for screen display - the underlying domain EXIDV is defined to use global function module 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT' for output conversion. The 'ALPHA' conversion modules transform between leading zeroes and blank. The output module will transform leading zeroes to blank for output => this is preparation for human reading. These conversion routines do not provide user-exit or badi that would allow to influence the behavior.

Internally the leading zeroes are stored and used by the processes. Of course, the ERP barcode functions also take them into account in sap standard processes.
