Picking Strategy

I have a single material, it has one storage type but it is in 2 separate storage sections, 001 and 100. When I am creating a TO, I want the search to go to section 100 first then 001. I have tried numerous ways of configuring, but it always goes to 001 first. In the storage bin search log, it searches the various storage types correctly and ends in the storage type required, but it then won't do the storage section search correctly. Everything I see resolves around storage placement but not storage picking.Example material is in storage type FGS, sections 001 and 100. Storage section search is set up for FGS, 100, 001.

    Hi John

I would expect this to work correctly (because you should be able to place and remove from storage sections in the required order)

Do you have any specific search criteria at the storage type level (stringent FIFO, Shelf Life expiration etc)

To test it further you may want to create a storage section indicator and apply this to your search strategie configuration and material master WM view

Then you will see if this is getting picked up...

If you read the removal rules etc in the foreground picking it may actually show the reason for skipping your search
