FTP Issues in file adapter -picking up files from multiple Directories

We are using the file adapter in Xi comm channel and the Transport protocal is FTP.

Flow:

SAP apps files -

fileadapter through FTP----

> XI -

> Reciving system.

In one of the Interface , the files may be picked up from different

directories of the application server , not from a single directory.

So we have to use " Advance Section for source file" in the J2EE file

adapter . But the file is not picked up from the directory with this

setup .

But the above scenario is working if we use NFS instead of FTP (the

files are picked up from different directories of the application server

of XI server ).

Is anything needs to be set up for FTP msg protocol in an XI comm

channel setting to pick up files from differnet directories.

Please help.
