Reassigning of Material Variant to KMAT in MM02

Can anyone let me know the possibility of Reassigning the Material Variant to KMAT and configuring the variant in MM02. For new assignment i do not have any problems, working fine. But when I need to reassign the MV to KMAT and configuring the variant and finally saving the MV, I am getting Runtime error.

Urgent Pls.

Hi Rajendra,

For Configurable material either we have to use the material Type : KMAT

or else use any other material type, but you have to click the Configurable indicator in Basic View-2, select the class & Characteristics for that Material Type.

1. To understand your querry correctly you are trying to delete the existing Kmat mateiral in a material variant and reassighn a new material

2. In this case you have to ensure that no open demand is there for the material variant

3. then you can remove the same and reassighn any material u need.

let me know if this fixed ur problem if u still get error send me the error

have you maintained all the master data properly

1. classification for material variants (CL02)

2. Characteristics definition ( CT04)

3. configuration profile(CU41)

4. Pricing conditions (VK11) with Condition type VA00 Variant Price

5. object dependencies for each variant characteristics

ensure the above and let me know still youface any issue

All the 5 points have been taken care of earlier itself but still the issue is not resolved.
